Yeah, its called sun bleaching. Your hair gets "bleached" by the sun, sending wonderful blonde or light brown "natural foils" through you hair.

Definitely! My hair is mostly brown but it has red and blond flecks in it (along with some grays and i'm only 15). During the summer my hair gets even more blond around the edges of my face.
